The SYSA Board of Directors has adopted a one year program for the formation of recreational soccer teams in the 2009/10 season. The program will hold teams together (of the appropriate age) by having players continue to play with their teammates from the 2008/09 season. The team will be rostered to the same coach if he/she returns that season, or be placed with a new coach should their 2008/09 coach not return. There will no longer be requests to play for particular coaches or with particular players, but players may request to not play with a particular coach and will be placed in a pool of players to be placed on other teams, again with no requests allowed.
